I'm Gail Ann Huber and I'm happy to say, I've been in this crazy business of radio for over 30-years and it's just as exciting as it was when I began my career.
My first radio "gig" was at WSPQ in Springville, which was a start-up radio station, so I learned a tremendous amount of what goes into creating a new on-air platform. From there, I moved to the Finger Lakes for a news job and came back to Buffalo in 1986 for a job that would last for 15 years at WYRK. It was tough to have that job end, but I was fortunate enough to end up with other local radio jobs at WHTT, WECK and of course now at WEBR. The stations have all had something that I loved, but it was always the people that I worked with that inspired me the most. Folks like Harv Moore, Tommy Shannon, Bill Lacy, Tom Donahue, Danny Neavearth, Dale Mussen, John Lamond, Jon Summers, Dave Gillen, Bob Stilson and so many others. I learned so much from all of them and they've become a part of my life's resume. I thank each and everyone of them for the blessings they've brought into my life.
Personally, I was born outside of Detroit, Michigan and my mom and sister and I moved here in the mid 70's. Yep...just in time for the Blizzard of '77. I have 20-something year old twins. Anthony and Maria. And if one thing is a spot-on truth...you never stop worrying about them. My dog Finnick and I are growing older "ungraciously" and "unapologetically" together.
My biggest pleasure through all of my days in radio has been the listeners. You have been tough at times, but kind and sweet most others. It's almost like having one giant second family.
Thank you all for your support and I look forward to spending many more mornings with you!
